EASTON, Pa. \u2013 Fans of freshly brewed coffee and unique, timeless treasures have a new cozy spot to check out in Northampton County.<\/p>\n
Repeater, offering hot and iced coffee, matcha drinks and other specialty beverages along with a curated selection of vintage clothing, accessories and other items, held a soft opening on Saturday at 13 S. Second St. in downtown Easton, co-owner Joe Duane said.<\/p>\n

Duane is operating the shop with his fianc\u00e9, Casey Leo, and the Easton couple is excited to create a welcoming community hub \u2013 complete with antique and vintage decor \u2013 that revolves around their interests.<\/p>\n
Leo and Duane are seasoned coffee shop veterans, having met several years ago while working at Rival Bros, a Philadelphia-based coffee roaster with multiple caf\u00e9 locations in the city.<\/p>\n
They\u2019re also passionate about collecting antiques, vintage clothes and other unique pieces that evoke nostalgia and tell a story.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis whole cafe is really an extension of the things that we\u2019re passionate about \u2013 really good coffee and vintage items,\u201d Leo said. \u201cSo, we\u2019re excited to be pursuing our passion and also sharing that with the community.\u201d<\/p>\n

Repeater is using Rival Bros coffee to prepare a wide array of specialty coffee drinks, including cappuccino, lattes and cold brew.<\/p>\n
A cup of drip coffee starts at $3, and drinks can be customized with a variety of milks and flavored syrups.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ll also have a specialty drink menu, with rotating fun drinks,\u201d Leo said.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor our first weekend, we offered a matcha coolata made with coconut water, which was really popular. All of our matcha is hand-whisked in the traditional way.\u201d<\/p>\n
During its soft-opening phase, the shop is operating 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through Sunday, Duane said.<\/p>\n
Hours will likely expand in the coming months.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen it comes to coffee, we both have a lot of experience,\u201d said Duane, who worked for Rival Bros from 2014 to 2021.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs we get settled in here, we\u2019ll definitely be adding more hours and days to our operations.\u201d<\/p>\n

Repeater, located just south of Northampton Street, features antique and vintage furniture, including a large, rustic counter once used at a general store and wooden benches once used at a train station.<\/p>\n
Seating also is available at low-top tables with chairs and stools lining a window counter.<\/p>\n
\u201cA lot of the stuff that we have here came from antique dealers who we are friends with from all over the country,\u201d Leo said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe love to source anything with a cool backstory, especially pieces that were handmade. Some items are just timeless and fit into any era. That\u2019s also where the name, Repeater, comes from. Objects age, but they also remain timeless, and I like to remind people, there\u2019s a lot of beauty in the rich history of old objects.\u201d<\/p>\n
In addition to offering coffee and snacks, Repeater features a retail nook, where individuals can browse vintage T-shirts, jackets and other clothing, along with other items such as pennants, patches and pins.<\/p>\n

The second level of the shop features kitchen space, and Leo and Duane have plans to eventually offer made-on-site baked goods, including Korean- and Japanese-inspired pastries.<\/p>\n
