MY REACTION TO IT IS JUST THAT EVERYTHING ELSE IS GOING UP, YOU KNOW, I MEAN, THE THE DUQUESNE LIGHT SENT US A MESSAGE ABOUT SIX MONTHS AGO SAYING THAT IT WAS GOING TO GO UP, AND NOW IT\u2019S GOING UP YET AGAIN FOR ANOTHER SIX MONTHS LATER. AND I\u2019M SURE IT\u2019S PROBABLY GOING TO GO AGAIN NEXT YEAR. NEW ELECTRIC RATES WILL BE SET BY ALL UTILITY COMPANIES ACROSS THE STATE. RISING FUEL COSTS ARE EXPECTED TO HEAVILY INFLUENCE HOW RATES ARE SET. CUSTOMERS OVERWORKING AC UNITS DURING THE HOT SUMMER MONTHS WILL ALSO FACTOR IN. THAT MEANS ELECTRIC BILLS MAY REACH UNPRECEDENTED AMOUNTS IN SOME HOUSEHOLDS. THIS IS THE SEASONAL RESET FOR ELECTRIC ENERGY PRICES FOR EVERY UTILITY ACROSS PENNSYLVANIA, ANYBODY THAT\u2019S BEEN TRACKING ANY FORM OF ENERGY, WHETHER YOU\u2019RE AT THE GAS STATION, PROPANE, ANY FORM OF FUEL HAS SEEN THOSE FUEL PRICES GO UP. A FORECAST FROM THE PUC SAYS DUQUESNE LIGHT WILL INCREASE ITS RATES BY NEARLY 3%. WEST END POWER WILL SET ITS RATE AT A 10% INCREASE. CUSTOMERS ARE ADVISED TO CONSERVE ENERGY TO SAVE MONEY, SEAL OUT HOT AIR, KEEP COOL AIR IN. MAKE SURE YOUR AC SYSTEM IS IN GOOD WORKING ORDER. I ACTUALLY JUST GOT A NEW DOOR TO KEEP IN.
