<\/p>\nChristina Aguilera and Will Smith will be among the performers at this year\u2019s 4th of July celebration on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Mayor Cherelle Parker announced on Thursday.<\/p>\n
According to the city, the celebration, named \u201cOne Philly: Unity Concert for America,\u201d will be the “largest free concert experience in the nation” to celebrate America’s 250th birthday.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur Fourth of July concert is a historic homecoming for many of our City\u2019s brightest stars,\u201d Parker said. \u201cBy uniting the vision of our Mayor\u2019s office and so many other city leaders, the global broadcast and production of Scott Mirkin, and the unmatched musical legacy of The Roots and Live Nation Urban, the One Philly Unity Concert For America will celebrate the soul of Philadelphia and the spirit of our nation on a truly global scale. There is no place to be other than Philly on July 4th!\u201d<\/p>\n

The celebration will be hosted by Wanda Sykes and will include appearances by Gillie Da King, Wallo 267 and more.<\/p>\n
The doors will open at 3 p.m. The event starts at 5 p.m. and will end at 11:45 p.m., which is when the iconic fireworks show will begin.<\/p>\n

Leading up to the big concert, Wawa Welcome America will host 16 days of free events to celebrate the nation’s 250th birthday, including several concerts and festivals.<\/p>\n

DJ Jazzy Jeff, the legendary hip hop producer, DJ and Philadelphia native, will headline the annual Juneteenth Block Party on June 19.<\/p>\n
Pink Sweat$, the Philadelphia-based R&B artist will headline Philly Fair 250, a new three-day event at the festival from June 20 through June 22.<\/p>\n
Eve, the Grammy Award-winning rapper, singer, actor and Philadelphia native will headline the Celebration of Black Music Month concert on June 25.<\/p>\n
Olga Ta\u00f1\u00f3n, the Grammy and Latin Grammy award-winning singer, will headline Concilio\u2019s Annual Hispanic Fiesta on June 27.<\/p>\n
Kirk Franklin, the 20-time Grammy Award winning artist, songwriter, producer and gospel music icon, will headline the Gospel on Independence concert on June 28.<\/p>\n
Trixie Mattel, the drag performer, author and recording artist, will host the Philadelphia Orchestra Free Pride Concert and Celebration on June 30.<\/p>\n
Queen Latifah, the Grammy, Emmy, and Golden Globe award-winning rapper, musician, actress and producer will headline the U.S. Army Field Band & Soldiers\u2019 Chorus on July 2.<\/p>\n
Idina Menzel, the Tony Award-winning singer, songwriter and actress will headline the Philly Pops concert on July 3.<\/p>\n
