Voters in Lower Merion will be among millions of Pennsylvanians deciding on a governor and State House representatives this fall. Meanwhile, midterm elections across the nation will shape the U.S. House of Representatives.<\/p>\n

Of note: Richey defeated John Ventre in the Republican primary for lieutenant governor. Both governor races, and the Democratic primary for lieutenant governor, were uncontested.<\/p>\n
U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES<\/p>\n
Lower Merion Township is split between Pennsylvania’s 4th and 5th congressional districts.<\/p>\n

Madeleine Dean* (D)Aurora Stuski (R) <\/p>\n
Of note: The district’s electorate became more liberal in 2018, when the Pennsylvania Supreme Court redrew congressional district boundaries in a gerrymandering ruling. Dean was first elected to the seat later that year, when Democrats secured the House majority during President Donald Trump’s first term.<\/p>\n
Republicans have held majorities in the House and Senate throughout President Trump’s second term.<\/p>\n
