The head of the World Health Organization says the Ebola outbreak in Congo is “spreading rapidly.”<\/p>\n
That’s what the director-general of the United Nations health agency announced today.<\/p>\n
He also raised its assessment of the risk of getting Ebola in Congo from “high” to “very high.”<\/p>\n
The chief said the death toll there is now up to 177, with almost 750 suspected cases.<\/p>\n
Authorities in Congo banned funerals today to prevent the spread, and the United Nations has released $60-million dollars to aid the response.<\/p>\n
