ALLENTOWN, Pa. – A man that shot and killed another man outside of a child’s birthday party in Allentown has been sentenced.<\/p>\n
Roberto Gonzalez, of Allentown, was sentenced 11.5 to 28 years on Thursday afternoon following a court appearance at the Lehigh County Courthouse.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Gonzalez killed\u00a0Miguel Dalmasi, 33, of Alburtis, in a dispute that happened at a birthday party for a one-year-old, the DA’s office said.<\/p>\n
The shooting happened February 17, 2024 at East Walnut and South Dauphin streets.<\/p>\n
Officials say Dalmasi was found dead at the scene, and his death was officially ruled a homicide.\u00a0<\/p>\n
A media release from the coroner’s office said that, prior to the shooting, several unknown men wearing ski masks gathered the hall where the birthday party was being held and a dispute began.<\/p>\n
Officials said Dalmasi went outside to mediate the dispute and a fight broke out.
