HAZELTON TWP., Pa. – A Berks County man was struck and killed on Interstate 81 Friday while tending to his disabled tractor trailer on the shoulder.<\/p>\n
According to a release from Pennsylvania State Police, 58\u2011year\u2011old Jesus Montell\u2011Rincon, of Clayton, was outside his tractor trailer near mile marker 140.3 northbound, standing between the cab and the roadway.<\/p>\n
Police say a 22\u2011year\u2011old man from Virginia driving northbound struck Montell\u2011Rincon and then pulled over onto the right shoulder after the impact. Both vehicles sustained damage.<\/p>\n
A witness and the driver found Montell\u2011Rincon deceased at the scene, according to the release.<\/p>\n
