Taylor had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn’t miss a beat now that it’s playoff time. They put the hurt on the Scranton Rockets with a sharp 12-1 win on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 17 matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Anistyn Nolte made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Nolte was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Taylor got a massive performance out of Jessllye Sayers, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, seven RBI, and two doubles. Those three hits gave Sayers a new career-high. Macy Downs was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.

Taylor always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Scranton only posted an OBP of .294.

The victory (which was Taylor’s 13th in a row) raised their record to 22-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Scranton, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 17-5 record.

As of now, neither Taylor nor the Rockets have any future games scheduled.
