Mary “Carol” Connors, 88, passed away on May 21, 2026, at the Long Community at Highlands in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She was the wife of the late John “Jack” Connors.<\/p>\n
Born in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, Carol was the daughter of the late Carl and Elizabeth (Moran) Hoke. She was a graduate of Pottsville Catholic High School.<\/p>\n
Carol’s greatest joy in life was her family, and she was a devoted mother and grandmother. Over the years, she worked at the Bank of Pennsylvania, Boscov’s, Walmart, and Royer’s Flowers.<\/p>\n
Carol loved cooking and baking — especially her famous chocolate chip cookies and she made every holiday special with her beautiful decorations. She also found great happiness tending to her gardens and flowers while living in Robesonia, Pennsylvania. Alongside her husband Jack, Carol also travelled the world extensively.<\/p>\n
She is survived by her sisters, Betty (Hoke) Ponti and Shirley (Hoke) Sekely; her son, John Kevin Connors and his wife, Jennifer, of Robesonia; her daughter Erin Connors of Alexandria, Virginia; her grandchildren, Zachary, Ryan, and Kylie Connors; and her beloved dog, Shamus.<\/p>\n
Carol was a devoted animal lover. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA or the Humane Society of one’s choice.<\/p>\n
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.<\/p>\n
