Four people, including a child, were hospitalized early Monday, officials said, after gunfire erupted at a party outside a home in Philly’s Olney section overnight. <\/p>\n
According to Philadelphia Police Capt. Louis Higginson, the incident happened just after midnight in the alley behind a home along the 500 block of Marwood Street in Olney. <\/p>\n
At that time, he said, police believe a shooting began after an argument at a party in a garage and alleyway. <\/p>\n
When the gunfire began, Higginson said, an off-duty officer heard the shots and ran to the scene, but they were unable to catch the suspected shooters. <\/p>\n
During the incident three men and one boy were injured, Higginson said.<\/p>\n
All four have been hospitalized and, he said, they were all listed in stable condition on Monday morning. <\/p>\n
At the scene, he said, police detained one juvenile who was found with a firearm. One of the victims in the shooting was also detained by police as, Higginson told NBC10, video of the incident appeared to show his involvement in the shooting. <\/p>\n
No one inside the home, he said, was injured. <\/p>\n
Police are still seeking suspects who fled the scene and Higginson said, an investigation is ongoing. <\/p>\n
