State police said a passenger has died following a one-car crash in Bernville on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Troopers at Reading gave this account:<\/p>\n
Troopers responded just before 2 a.m. to a report of a crash with entrapment on Route 183, also known as Bernville Road, just north of North Fourth Street.<\/p>\n
The car, driven by a 23-year-old male from Pottsville, was southbound on Route 183, crossed into the northbound lane, then struck a tree.<\/p>\n
The passenger, Keenan Cryts, 23, suffered severe injuries and was transported to a nearby trauma center.<\/p>\n
Cryts died in Reading Hospital at 11:19 p.m. Sunday.<\/p>\n
The driver was wearing a seat belt, but Cryts was not.<\/p>\n
Troopers said an investigation continues and they are being assisted by the Berks County district attorney\u2019s office and the coroner\u2019s office.<\/p>\n
