SALISBURY TWP., Pa. – She’s known for reimagining iconic R&B, pop and classic rock songs with her signature style, and we’re so excited to share her with all of you Monday morning.<\/p>\n
The Lehigh Valley’s own Maniya<\/a> joined 69 News at Sunrise. Maniya, who’s an Emmaus High School graduate, said she loved growing up in the region.<\/p>\n She said she had a teacher that believed in her and her musical abilities.<\/p>\n She talked about how she got her start in music. Maniya said she grew up loving gospel music. She was part of a choral group called “Gospel for Teens,” from when she was 13 to 17 years old.<\/p>\n Maniya went to college at the Berklee College of Music in Boston.<\/p>\n She’s known for her soulful mashups.
