On May 23 the Erie Humane Society received a 5-week-old kitten who was in need of urgent medical attention. The kitten now named Sid had a severely injured and protruding eye that was causing poor Sid pain and discomfort.<\/p>\n

First aid was administered including providing him with pain medication and antibiotics. On May 26 Sid will have surgery to remove the affected eye.<\/p>\n

The shelter stated on a Facebook post that despite Sid having a rough start that he is active, alert, and in general doing well.<\/p>\n
