\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tA 70% CUT TO AVAILABLE JOBS. NOW, THE WGAL NEWS EIGHT STORM TEAM FORECAST, WITH METEOROLOGIST MIKE SUSKO. GOOD EVENING EVERYONE. MANY OF YOU ONLINE HAVE BEEN ASKING, WHEN CAN I MOW MY LAWN? WITH ALL THE RAIN AND IT LOOKS LIKE TOMORROW YOU HAVE A CHANCE TO DO SO. BUT HONESTLY, IF YOU CAN WAIT UNTIL THURSDAY, THAT\u2019S PROBABLY YOUR BEST BET BECAUSE YOU HAVE MORE RAIN COMING IN ON WEDNESDAY, ESPECIALLY IN THE MORNING HOURS. SOME SCATTERED SHOWERS IN THE AFTERNOON AS WELL, BUT ESPECIALLY WEDNESDAY MORNING. WE HAVE A GOOD CHANCE OF SEEING SOME WIDESPREAD RAIN. NOW THE GOOD NEWS IS AT LEAST THIS ROUND OF RAIN WE\u2019VE BEEN DEALING WITH ALL WEEKEND HAS FINALLY MOVED ON OUT AND WE\u2019RE GETTING A LITTLE BIT OF SUNSHINE HERE, ESPECIALLY NORTHWEST UP THE HARRISBURG AT THE MOMENT. AND AS WE GO THROUGH THE NIGHT TONIGHT, WE\u2019LL CONTINUE TO SEE THINGS GET A LITTLE BIT CLEARER. SO WE\u2019LL GO FROM 70 DOWN TO 58 DEGREES FOR THAT OVERNIGHT LOW WITH SOME CLEARING AND A SPOTTY SHOWER. NOT OUT OF THE QUESTION, BUT MOST OF US STAY DRY. ALSO, BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR SOME PATCHY FOG OVERNIGHT TONIGHT, ESPECIALLY IF YOU\u2019RE HEADING OUT TO WORK OR SCHOOL. TOMORROW MORNING. YOU MAY ENCOUNTER SOME OF THAT. TOMORROW WILL BE A MIX OF SUN AND CLOUDS, HIGH AROUND 80 DEGREES ON YOUR TUESDAY, WITH A STRAY SHOWER IN THE AFTERNOON, BUT MOST OF THE DAY STAYS DRY. LET\u2019S TIME THIS OUT FOR YOU. THE CLOUDS CONTINUE TO THIN OUT AS WE HEAD INTO THE NIGHT. TONIGHT AGAIN. COULD SEE SOME SPOTTY OR SOME DENSE FOG IN PARTS OF THE AREA FOR TOMORROW MORNING. AND THEN AS WE HEAD INTO THE AFTERNOON, THOSE CLOUDS WILL RETURN TO THE SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY WITH A LITTLE BIT OF A SPOTTY SHOWER CHANCE. I THINK YOUR BEST CHANCE FOR THAT, THOUGH, IS GOING TO BE WEST OF THE RIVER NEAR THE RIDGE TOPS. SO MAINLY MIFFLIN JUNIATA. FRANKLIN COUNTY HAS THE BEST CHANCE TO SEE SPOTTY SHOWER TOMORROW AS WE HEAD INTO TOMORROW NIGHT. THE CLOUDS AND RAIN RETURN. THERE\u2019S A WIDESPREAD RAIN AROUND FOR WEDNESDAY MORNING. IT\u2019S NOT GOING TO BE ANY FLOODING RAIN, BUT BECAUSE IT WILL BE DURING THE MORNING COMMUTE, IT WILL BE STEADY LIGHT TO MODERATE RAIN AT TIMES. IT WILL BE AN IMPACT DAY. ON WEDNESDAY WE GET A BREAK WEDNESDAY AROUND LUNCHTIME BEFORE MORE SCATTERED SHOWERS WORK THEIR WAY IN DURING THE AFTERNOON. HERE, WE\u2019RE NOT EXPECTING ANY TYPE OF SEVERE WEATHER WITH THIS, BUT IT\u2019S GOING TO BE WITH A LITTLE BIT OF RAIN AS WE HEAD TOWARDS THE END OF THE DAY ON WEDNESDAY. AND THAT\u2019S GOING TO KEEP US DRY AS WE HEAD THROUGH THURSDAY INTO FRIDAY AND EVEN SATURDAY, YOU CAN SEE VERY LITTLE CHANGE IN THE PATTERN HERE. THE JET STREAM IS GOING TO STAY JUST TO OUR NORTH IN THE SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY. THAT\u2019S GOING TO KEEP US DRY IN ANY STORMS THAT FORM ALONG THE JET STREAM WILL END UP STAYING TO OUR NORTH HERE. THIS IS CALLED AN OMEGA BLOCK BECAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE THE GREEK SIGN OMEGA THERE. YOU CAN KIND OF MAKE IT OUT THERE WITH THE JET STREAM AND WITH THE CHARACTERISTICS OF IT AS TWO LOWS ON THE SIDE WITH A RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE IN THE CENTER THAT JUST DOES NOT BUDGE. IF YOU HAPPEN TO GET UNDER THE LOWS, IT\u2019S UNSETTLED WEATHER, CLOUDY, COOL. KIND OF LIKE WHAT WE HAD THIS PAST WEEKEND. BUT WHEN YOU GET UNDER THE RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE, THAT\u2019S WHEN IT\u2019S HOT AND DRY. AND THIS SLOWS DOWN STORM PROGRESSION. SO IF YOU HAVE A CHANCE TO GET A STORM, IT\u2019S GOING TO BE A LITTLE BIT SLOWER TO MOVE. AND AGAIN, HERE\u2019S AGAIN, YOU CAN KIND OF MAKE OUT HOW THAT OMEGA SIGN THERE AS WELL. AND FOR US, IT\u2019S GOING TO TREND TO ABOVE AVERAGE TEMPERATURES AS WE HEAD INTO THE BEGINNING OF JUNE. SO THIS IS JUNE 2ND THROUGH THE EIGHTH IS FAIR TO BE ABOVE AVERAGE FOR THE SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY AND DRYER AS WELL. SO AS WE GO INTO THE MONTH OF JUNE AND THE TEN DAY FORECAST REFLECTS THIS, ONCE AGAIN, WE GET THROUGH YOUR WEDNESDAY WITH THE SHOWERS THERE AND THAT IMPACT DAY. IT\u2019S BASICALLY COPY PASTE FROM THAT POINT ON 76 DEGREES. BY THE TIME WE GET TO THURSDAY AND FRIDAY, ALMOST EXACTLY THE SAME, 72 ON SATURDAY, 70 DEGREES BY SUNDAY, AND THEN GUYS NEXT WEEK PRETTY MUCH THE EXACT SAME THING.
