(WOLF) \u2014 Drivers traveling through Luzerne County should expect delays Thursday due to pothole patching work on Interstate 81.<\/p>\n<p>According to transportation officials, lane restrictions will be in place on Interstate 81 northbound between the Mountain Top\/Wilkes-Barre exit and the Bear Creek exit.<\/p>\n<p>The work is scheduled for Thursday, May 28, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Officials said the lane closures are needed so crews can perform pothole repairs along the highway.<\/p>\n<p>Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes when possible and should expect slower traffic through the work zone.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"DUNMORE, LACKAWANNA CO.
