{"id":203699,"date":"2026-05-27T17:32:07","date_gmt":"2026-05-27T17:32:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/203699\/"},"modified":"2026-05-27T17:32:07","modified_gmt":"2026-05-27T17:32:07","slug":"nazareth-man-gets-prison-in-dui-crash-that-killed-man-67","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/203699\/","title":{"rendered":"Nazareth man gets prison in DUI crash that killed man, 67"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 25-year-old man will spend years in prison for causing a crash that killed a man over a year ago in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mcall.com\/2024\/10\/20\/bethlehem-township-crash-fatal-freemansburg-avenue\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bethlehem Township.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Devin Rorrer, of Nazareth, was sentenced last week to three years and three months to 10 years in prison for the Oct. 20 crash that killed Kevin Ward, according to the Northampton County District Attorney\u2019s office. Rorrer pleaded guilty in March to charges of homicide by vehicle while DUI and DUI.<\/p>\n<p>Township police said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mcall.com\/2025\/02\/26\/bethlehem-township-fatal-crash-dui-charges\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Rorrer\u2019s blood alcohol content was .155%<\/a>, nearly the double the legal limit, when he caused the crash about 2:30 a.m. on Freemansburg Avenue. He was driving westbound when he hit the driver\u2019s side of Ward\u2019s vehicle, which was entering the road from Seventh Street.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mcall.com\/2024\/10\/21\/man-killed-in-bethlehem-township-crash-identified\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ward, 67, of Easton, was pronounced dead at the scene<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Township police filed charges early last year.
