BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Police responded to a call from a sorority house saying that it was broken into at Lehigh University on Sunday.<\/p>\n
At 5:37 a.m., the Lehigh University Police Department (LUPD) received a call from a Lehigh student residing at Alpha Phi sorority, on Upper Sayre Park Rd, who reported finding broken glass at the house, according to a news release from the police.<\/p>\n
Officers say they arrived to find a back door forcibly opened.<\/p>\n
Police on the scene say no one was threatened or injured in any way, and it didn’t appear anything was missing from the house.<\/p>\n
Police say they found a man in the building who was taken into custody. He was confirmed to be a non-Lehigh student.<\/p>\n
A search of the building revealed the individual has a connection to the house, according to investigators.<\/p>\n
Officials say the individual responsible was immediately taken into custody and there is no continuing threat to the community.<\/p>\n
LUPD says he was charged with Burglary, Criminal Trespass, Criminal Mischief, and Public Drunkenness.<\/p>\n
