{"id":203771,"date":"2026-05-27T18:41:12","date_gmt":"2026-05-27T18:41:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/203771\/"},"modified":"2026-05-27T18:41:12","modified_gmt":"2026-05-27T18:41:12","slug":"3-injured-in-explosion-at-dairy-farmers-of-america-plant-in-lawrence-county","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/203771\/","title":{"rendered":"3 injured in explosion at Dairy Farmers of America plant in Lawrence County"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">WILMINGTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. \u2014 Four people were injured in an explosion at a dairy plant in Lawrence County on Wednesday morning. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">First responders were called to the Dairy Farmers of America plant at Routes 19 and 208 in Wilmington Township just after 10 a.m. for a fire and explosion.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">A statement from Dairy Farmers of America stated that an electrical arc flash occurred at the facility. All employees were evacuated at the time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Four people were injured. One person was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital, and another was taken to a hospital by ambulance. Two others were treated on scene for minor injuries. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">The statement from Dairy Farmers of America went on to say:<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">\u201cOur thoughts are with the individuals and their families. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">\u201cAt DFA, we take safety very seriously. The situation has been contained, and we are investigating the circumstances of this incident.
