Some of the school closures are as follows: Allegheny 6-8, Arsenal PreK-5, Fulton PreK-5, King PreK-8, Linden PreK-5, Manchester PreK-8, Miller PreK-5, Milliones 6-12, South Brook 6-8, South Hills 6-8, Spring Hill K-5, and Woolslair PreK-5. The plan also includes the opening of two new schools and one early childhood center, along with expanded access to academic programs, arts, athletics, and career pathways. PPS said the average age of its school buildings is around 90 years old. A phased implementation process will occur over multiple years, PPS continued, with some students being transitioned to a new building by the 2027-28 school year.
