The contribution was made possible through the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit program, which provides tax credits to businesses that donate to eligible Educational Improvement Organizations. Project Hope at Camp UNC in Wyoming County has served more than 150 children throughout the entire month of July each summer for generations. The program gives children ages 5 to 14 from income-eligible families in Scranton a traditional summer day camp experience. Campers receive free transportation, along with breakfast, lunch and a nutritious snack each day. Project Hope Summer Camp offers a safe, supportive and enriching environment where children can learn new skills, build friendships and create lasting summer memories.
