CATASAUQUA, Pa. – Preliminary hearings were continued for father and son Matthew Pletz and Jack Pletz.<\/p>\n
The two are accused of throwing an explosive device from a pickup truck near an Election Day polling place at the Salem United Church of Christ in Catasauqua.<\/p>\n
State Police said a device exploded a block and a half away from the polling place.<\/p>\n
Investigators said they found 17 other explosive devices in the truck.<\/p>\n
According to the District Attorney, there is no evidence so far suggesting this was related to the election.<\/p>\n
Investigators said nobody was injured.<\/p>\n
The District Attorney said Matthew Pletz was arrested the day an explosive device was thrown.<\/p>\n
Authorities said Jack Pletz surrendered to State Police later that week.<\/p>\n
Jack Pletz is out on bail and Matthew Pletz is being held at the Lehigh County Jail.<\/p>\n
