James Boxley lives in St. Ambrose Manor in Pittsburgh\u2019s Spring Hill neighborhood. He said his Kia Optima parked on Yetta Avenue was broken into a few days ago. Boxley\u2019s car was not the only one. According to people who live at the apartment complex, a tenant\u2019s Kia was stolen from Yetta Avenue overnight. Shattered glass was left in its place. The owner of a white Hyundai in the parking lot of the complex told Pittsburgh\u2019s Action News 4 that she called police because someone busted her window. She said she believed it happened between 8:30 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday. The unknown culprit did not take anything, according to the woman. \u201cSecurity is so lax. They have cameras, and we\u2019re told that they don\u2019t work at night when it’s dark, and I think that\u2019s almost an insult,\u201d Robert Britton told Pittsburgh\u2019s Action News 4 Reporter Jordan Cioppa. Britton said he is hoping to bring attention to the break-ins, especially since it is not the first time the building\u2019s senior population has dealt with the issue. \u201cFor seniors in particular, I\u2019m really concerned because the mentality. I mean, we\u2019re already on edge about certain things and our health, and it just seems like people are preying on us in this situation,\u201d Britton said. \u201cWe need help.\u201dThe residents were left wondering what could be done to prevent this from happening to even more cars. \u201cI don\u2019t want anybody touching my car, because I\u2019m a very nice guy, until it comes to you messing with my stuff,\u201d Rick Sutton said. Pittsburgh\u2019s Action News 4 was waiting to hear back from Pittsburgh police and District 1 City Councilman Bobby Wilson.
