10\/30; 1 p.m.\u2014The Rome Police Department has just released the name of the person hit by a van on Erie Boulevard on Oct. 22.<\/p>\n
The 31-year-old male pedestrian struck by the utility van was identified as Joseph W. Lamie, according to RPD.<\/p>\n
“Lamie sustained numerous internal injuries as a result of the collision,” RPD continued.<\/p>\n
He is being treated at an area hospital for his injuries and is listed in critically stable condition at this time.<\/p>\n
The investigation into the collision is ongoing.<\/p>\n

The Rome Police Department reported that the incident occurred around 10:50 a.m. in the 200 block.<\/p>\n
The 31-year-old pedestrian received treatment from Rome Fire Department and AmCare Ambulance personnel before being transported by LifeNet to a local hospital.<\/p>\n
The extent of his injuries is currently unknown.<\/p>\n
The driver of the van was not injured.<\/p>\n
The Rome Police Accident Reconstruction Unit is investigating the situation.<\/p>\n

ROME, N.Y. — Erie Boulevard East in Rome has reopened following a closure due to a car crash.<\/p>\n
According to the Rome Police Department, the road was closed from South James Street to the Rt. 365 ramp. Both eastbound and westbound lanes were affected.<\/p>\n
