Q: What accomplishments are you most proud of and why?<\/p>\n
A: I am most proud of being able to push myself to be the best that I can be. Years ago, I was very reclusive and very doubtful of myself. With time, I was able to change my way of thinking and embrace the challenges I face. Many doors have been opened for me, and as a result, I have become much more confident in my abilities and I get to pursue my dream of becoming a law student.<\/p>\n
Q: Whom do you most admire and why?<\/p>\n
A: I most admire my older brother, Kyle. I look up to him the most because throughout my life, he has always served as a mentor to me. He and his wife stepped up to care for me and give me guidance I really needed growing up.<\/p>\n
Q: What were your most rewarding school or community activities? Why?<\/p>\n
A: Being an officer in both history club and art club has been very rewarding for me. When we hold events, either for the school or the community, I love knowing I helped plan the event and made it come to life. The art show, presented by the art club, is my favorite! I love seeing people gain just as much gratification as I do from the things that I love.<\/p>\n
Q: What do you do in your spare time?<\/p>\n
A: I like to do art, learn about history, or hang out with my friends. History is especially a great passion of mine.<\/p>\n
Q: What are your plans after high school graduation? Why did you choose this path?<\/p>\n
A: I plan to go to Marywood University for pre-law. Afterwards, I intend to go to law school and become a lawyer. I chose this path because history and law have always spoken to me. I love them both and I feel like a career in law would fulfill these interests. I\u2019m also lucky enough to have taken a street law course at my school, which has solidified my interest.<\/p>\n
Q: What is your advice to younger students?<\/p>\n
A: Give it your all in everything you try, and try new things! You never know what you are going to try and love, so get out of your comfort zone! Give everything your all, so you never feel disappointed in yourself and like you could\u2019ve done more. As long as you do your best, that\u2019s what matters.<\/p>\n
Q: Finish this sentence: The most interesting thing about me is \u2026<\/p>\n
A: I had spinal fusion surgery, and as a result, six of my vertebrae are fused together!<\/p>\n
A little about Nevaeh O\u2019Malley<\/p>\n
Nevaeh O\u2019Malley of Mid Valley Secondary Center is an artist who plans to become a lawyer. Her school says she takes everything in stride and never loses sight of her goals.<\/p>\n
The Dickson City resident is the daughter of Kyle O\u2019Malley and Sheye-Anne O\u2019Malley.<\/p>\n
Nevaeh\u2019s leadership positions include serving as president of the history club and vice president of the art club. She is a member of the mock trial team and the National Honor Society and is active in her church.<\/p>\n
