(WHTM)\u2013 Pennsylvania families who save with the PA 529 College and Career Savings Program may be eligible to win money, according to the Pennsylvania Treasury.<\/p>\n

Pennsylvania Treasurer Stacy Garrity announced that the Pennsylvania Treasury Department\u2019s 529 Day promotion is offering more than $33,000 in awards. Families who save with the program may be eligible for one of six regional awards.<\/p>\n

A $5,529 deposit will be dropped into the winners\u2019 PA 529 accounts as part of 529 Day, the Treasury said. The promotion ends May 31, 2026.<\/p>\n

How are families eligible?<\/p>\n

According to Garrity, families must contribute at least $10 to a new or existing PA 529 Guaranteed Savings Plan<\/a> (GSP) or PA 529 Investment Plan<\/a> (IP) by May 31 to be eligible for the promotion. Account owners must be Pennsylvania residents.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery child\u2019s future is full of possibilities, and I\u2019m thrilled Treasury is able to offer over $33,000 in awards to help encourage families to start saving early,\u201d Treasurer Garrity said. \u201cEven small contributions made today can grow over time and help families prepare to fund their child\u2019s education \u2013 no matter what path they choose after high school.\u201d<\/p>\n
