{"id":206610,"date":"2026-05-31T03:14:17","date_gmt":"2026-05-31T03:14:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/206610\/"},"modified":"2026-05-31T03:14:17","modified_gmt":"2026-05-31T03:14:17","slug":"riverlife-chalk-fest-has-colorful-kick-off-in-pittsburghs-north-shore","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/206610\/","title":{"rendered":"RiverLife Chalk Fest has colorful kick-off in Pittsburgh\u2019s North Shore"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">PITTSBURGH \u2014 Summer had a colorful kick-off in Pittsburgh\u2019s North Shore on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">The first day of RiverLife Chalk Fest was held at Allegheny Landing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">More than two dozen professional chalk artists will make and show off chalk murals along Isabella Street and the Three Rivers Heritage Trail during the two-day festival.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Members of the public can show off their creative side, too, by making 2-foot murals for the comunity mural entrance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">This is the fifth year for the festival, which features local food vendors, live music and other activities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Organizers say this is the most artists and the best attendance they\u2019ve ever had.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">\u201cWe\u2019ve brought 30 national and international chalk artists to Pittsburgh to share their craft with Pittsburgh,\u201d RiverLife President and CEO Matthew Galluzzo said. \u201cAnd Pittsburghers have shown out today.
