MOOSIC, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE\/WYOU) \u2014 Friday night, the Scranton\/Wilkes-Barre Railriders fell to the Worcester Red Sox 6-5 in Game Four of this six-game home stand. Despite three ties and four lead changes, the Railriders failed to get the job done, losing their fourth straight game to Worcester.<\/p>\n
The Railriders got on the board first in the bottom of the first as Tyler Hardman grounded out on a hit to left center. This allowed George Lombard Jr. to score, giving the Railriders the early 1-0 lead.<\/p>\n
The Red Sox responded with three runs in the top of the third. Two of those three came from a two-run homer by Mikey Romero to give Worcester the 3-1 lead.<\/p>\n
Scranton\/Wilkes-Barre tied the game in the bottom of the third as Hardman doubled on a sharp fly ball to left field, which allowed two runs to score, making it a 3-3 ball game.<\/p>\n
The Red Sox would add on another two runs in the top of the fourth to give them a 5-3 lead. However, the Railriders would cut that lead to one in the bottom of the fourth with a solo home run from Ernesto Martinez.<\/p>\n
The Railriders tied the game at five in the bottom of the seventh with a home run by Spencer Jones. However, the Red Sox scored one more in the top of the 8th to retake the lead, making it a 6-5 Worcester ball game, and that would be the final score.<\/p>\n
The Railriders will look to end their four-game losing streak against Worcester as the two teams face off again tomorrow. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m. at PNC Field.<\/p>\n
