No additional details were released.Sources told Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 reporter Kalea Gunderson that there is an internal investigation of an allegation made against Jones.The sources said the allegation against Jones is not criminal in nature, and that it has nothing to do with personal impropriety, allegations of sexual misconduct, or any issues pertaining to personal financial gain.Assistant Chief Mat Davis will be the city’s acting fire chief while Jones is off the job.”The bureau will continue to operate as it needs to, to serve the city of Pittsburgh,” said a statement from Pittsburgh Fire Fighters Local No. 1 President Ralph Sicuro.Jones has served as the fire chief in Pittsburgh since 2007.This is a developing story.
