Long have there been rumors of the Philadelphia Eagles being interested<\/a> in trading for Myles Garrett. They were heating up again on Monday morning while we\u2019re all still waiting on the A.J. Brown<\/a> trade to become official.<\/p>\n

And now Garrett is coming to Philly \u2026 this season \u2026 in Week 4 \u2026 as a member of the Los Angeles Rams<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Rams and Cleveland Browns have reportedly agreed<\/a> to a trade that will send the reigning Defensive Player of the Year to LA.<\/p>\n

The terms of the deal:<\/p>\n

RAMS RECEIVE \u2014 Myles Garrett<\/p>\n

BROWNS RECEIVE \u2014 Jared Verse<\/a>, 2027 first-round pick, \u201cother draft pick compensation\u201d<\/p>\n

While Verse \u2014 a Philly native \u2014 has been a really good player for the Rams, there\u2019s a difference between him and the guy who set a new NFL record for sacks in a single season last year with 23.<\/p>\n

This trade is bad news for the Eagles not only because they\u2019re missing out on Garrett (Philly still has a good edge rusher outlook but obviously not as good as it would be with Garrett in the fold) but also because the betting favorite to win the NFC just got stronger.<\/p>\n

The Eagles\u2019 2026 roster is also about to get worse with Brown\u2019s departure.<\/p>\n

These developments don\u2019t automatically disqualify the Eagles from championship contention. The Rams are 0-4 in their last four games against the Birds.<\/p>\n
