A new Smart Boot program is being implemented in the City of Pittsburgh. <\/p>\n
Drivers who see their car has been booted can now scan a QR Code, pay their bill and the boot will then come off.<\/p>\n
Parking Authority Executive Director David Onorato says it’s designed so drivers don’t have to wait anywhere from 30 to 50 minutes to have crews come and remove the boot.<\/p>\n
\u201cSome people, we heard, once they realized their vehicle had a boot on it, they had to wait too long to have it removed, so now they have the option of doing it immediately or calling the boot-release truck and they\u2019ll take it off. <\/p>\n
Booted drivers have 24 hours to return the boot at one of three drop off boxes. <\/p>\n
One at McGann and Chester Towing, another at the Friendship-Cedarville Parking lot in Bloomfield and the other outside the Parking Authority’s office on the Boulevard of the Allies. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A new Smart Boot program is being implemented in the City of Pittsburgh.
