The neighbor who shot the video says she’s been feeding the neighborhood cats for about 15 years. Video shows one of the cats named Jumper approaching the contaminated food and backing away. The Pennsylvania SPCA says no animals were reported injured. “I was very upset because everybody loves Jumper. I’m just glad that everything happened so fast because everything could have went really bad. The thing is, I’ve never had bad words with my neighbor, the lady. So, I just didn’t see that in her personality to start with, that something like that would ever happen,” said one neighbor told NBC 10. The SPCA said it was notified about the incident and executed a search warrant alongside law enforcement at the woman’s home the following day. This past week, she was formally charged with two misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty. The charges carry potential penalties, including fines and jail time.
