BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) \u2014 A Pennsylvania man was charged with interstate communication of a threat for text messages sent to a Cattaraugus County Sheriff\u2019s detective, the United States Attorney\u2019s Office said Monday.<\/p>\n
The Cattaraugus County Sheriff\u2019s Office contacted the FBI after a detective received threatening text messages to his cell phone in May.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou will die soon!\u201d the text message stated. \u201cI will personally do the job if necessary. Death to the weaponized government means death to the weaponized government literally; you are living on borrowed time.\u201d<\/p>\n
Investigation identified the user of the telephone number that the threatening messages were sent from as Layton Love, 46, of Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n
A New York State arrest warrant was issued on May 21, charging Love with making a terroristic threat and aggravated harassment. Love was located and arrested by Pennsylvania State Police at his parents\u2019 residence in Eldred, Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n
If convicted, the suspect will face a maximum of five years in prison.<\/p>\n
