A local nonprofit is asking for the community\u2019s help to continue to serve those who are struggling in downtown Erie.<\/p>\n
The Erie City Mission offers shelter, meals and other services for people facing poverty, addiction, and homelessness in Erie.<\/p>\n
\u00a0Millcreek Township creates new position to expand public outreach\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n But one employee with the organization said they\u2019ve been spread thin on supplies lately.<\/p>\n She said they\u2019re in need of tissues, toilet paper, deodorant, toothpaste, men\u2019s clothing and more, and your donation would go to help someone in need.<\/p>\n \u00a0Penn State Behrend hosts STEM-focused career day\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s people all around who need our help, who need our compassion, and compassion can look different ways, donating items, talking to them.\u201d \u201cThis goes a very long way for somebody who may not be able to purchase the items themselves,\u201d said Regan Ganoe, the marketing and communications manager for the Erie City Mission.<\/p>\n The community can donate by dropping off items at their building on French and 10th\u00a0Streets on Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM, or for more information, you can head to their website here<\/a>.<\/p>\n Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
