Collingdale firefighters made quick work of a basement fire on Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n
Crews were called shortly before 4:30 p.m. to the 100 block of Hansen Terrace for smoke coming from the basement.<\/p>\n
Borough Fire Marshal Colin McCann said nobody was at home at the time, but the flames were contained the basement bathroom.<\/p>\n
Crews were able to quickly control the fire with smoke damage to the home, and minimal water damage in the basement.<\/p>\n
There were no injuries The Red Cross was called to assist the residents with housing.<\/p>\n
