<\/p>\nA Cheektowaga man is facing murder charges in connection with the shooting deaths of his wife, 4- and 3-year-old sons and another man, according to the Erie County District Attorney’s Office.<\/p>\n
Saleh Mohamed, 29, is charged with one count of first-degree murder and three counts of second-degree murder, the DA’s office said.<\/p>\n
He was taken into custody without incident after he returned to the scene of the crime, authorities said.<\/p>\n
Authorities say a 43-year-old man was shot and killed at a store\u00a0on the 1000 block of Grant Street near Military Road in Buffalo around 2:30 p.m. Monday. Then, at around 3:30 p.m., the DA’s office says Mohamed’s wife and two sons were found dead by officers at a home on Ellen Drive in Cheektowaga.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s never a good scene to have to walk into with the loss of life, especially when it\u2019s children. It affects the investigators,\u201d Buffalo Police Chief of Detectives Joseph Langdon said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Mohamed is being held without bail. He is scheduled to return to both Cheektowaga Town Court and Buffalo City Court for felony hearings Friday morning.<\/p>\n
The DA’s office says Mohamed\u00a0faces a maximum sentence of life in prison without parole if convicted of the highest count, and that additional charges may be filed.<\/p>\n
According to Erie County District Attorney Michael Keane, the names of the victims will not be released until all family has been notified.<\/p>\n
\u201cDomestic violence is a scourge,”\u00a0Keane said. “These crimes are horrific and this is the worst of the worst.”<\/p>\n
Police would not yet clarify if the victims in the two cases were related.<\/p>\n
