HELLERTOWN, Pa. \u2013 A longstanding business offering beautiful floral arrangements for weddings, birthdays, holidays and other occasions is set to end operations in Northampton County.<\/p>\n

Pondelek\u2019s Florist & Gifts, specializing in floral arrangements for weddings and other large events, will hold its last day of operation on June 30 at 202 Main St. in Hellertown as Owner Jackie Bodor plans to retire, according to an online announcement.<\/p>\n

Pondelek\u2019s was established in 1942, and Bodor has owned and operated the business for the past 35 years.<\/p>\n

Bodor made the announcement \u201cwith a grateful heart\u201d on the business\u2019 social media pages.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt has been an honor to serve this community since 1942,\u201d Bodor wrote in the online post.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026 Pondelek’s Florist has been part of my heart and life for over 3 1\/2 decades. It has truly been my passion, and I have loved every single moment I have owned it. To my amazing clients and customers ~ You are so much more than that to me. You are family. You have supported me through the best of times, and the hardest times. Together, we’ve celebrated life’s most joyful moments ~ weddings, birthdays, new beginnings, and we’ve walked alongside each other through times of loss and sorrow. It has been an absolute privilege to be a part of your lives in such meaningful ways.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pondelek\u2019s originally operated on Easton Road in Hellertown before moving to 1310 Main St. in the borough in 2006.<\/p>\n

In 2017, Bodor moved the business again to another borough location, a 19th century, former one-room schoolhouse at 202 Main St.<\/p>\n

Pondelek\u2019s offers floral arrangements for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, funerals and other occasions.<\/p>\n

For decades, the shop has also helped individuals celebrate holidays such as Valentine\u2019s Day, Easter and Mother\u2019s Day, as well as express sympathy following the loss of a loved one and \u201cget well\u201d wishes during illnesses.<\/p>\n
