A Nanticoke man who nearly hit children as they road bicycles on a street in Taylor returned and threatened to kill them, police charge.<\/p>\n
Police charged Michael Frazier, 25, of West Main Street, with reckless endangerment, reckless driving and making terroristic threats.<\/p>\n
Taylor police responded Monday at about 9 p.m.\u00a0to West Taylor and South Main streets for the report of a speeding vehicle.<\/p>\n
Candace Leschinsky told police Frazier had almost hit children on their bikes on West Taylor Street. He then returned and threatened them.<\/p>\n
Officers found Frazier in his vehicle in the 200 block of West Taylor Street. He reclined in his seat to hide from officers, police said.<\/p>\n
Frazier denied speeding up and down the street and threatening children, police said.<\/p>\n
Frazier\u2019s father told police his son was just involved in a domestic dispute during which he threatened to drive to Taylor to kill his father.<\/p>\n
Frazier\u2019s girlfriend called his father to warn him his son was drunk and under the influence of Xanax, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n
Officers noted Frazier smelled like alcohol. He admitted having smoked marijuana earlier in the day, police said.<\/p>\n
When officers asked if they could search the vehicle, Frazier admitted there might be two cocktails in the vehicle, which he drank earlier, police said.<\/p>\n
When police told Frazier he was going to jail, he pushed off the hood of his vehicle while in handcuffs and ran down West Taylor Street.<\/p>\n
Officers soon had him in custody again.<\/p>\n
Frazier failed a field sobriety test.<\/p>\n
He remains in Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of $20,000 bail.<\/p>\n
He is also charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, flight to avoid apprehension and resisting arrest.<\/p>\n
