Rosemary J. Auriemma, 82, of West Scranton, passed away on Monday evening at Elan Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Scranton.<\/p>\n
Born in Pittston, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Bartoli Bartolotta and was a graduate of Pittston Area High School.<\/p>\n
Prior to retirement she was a police officer with the City of Scranton.<\/p>\n
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness touched everyone who knew her. One thing people will remember most about Rosemary was her laugh. It came easily and often, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She had a way of finding joy in life\u2019s everyday moments, and carried a constant smile. Her laugh was truly contagious, always managing to make every moment brighter. Her warmth and happiness will be forever cherished by all who knew her.<\/p>\n
Rosemary is survived by a son William Auriemma, a brother John Bartoli and wife Michele, a granddaughter Alivia Tuohey and husband Mike, and nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Tina Laskowski, and brothers Louis and Benjamin Bartoli, and her nephew Joseph Laskowski.<\/p>\n
A blessing service will be held on Friday at 11:00am at the Savino Traditional Funerals and Cremation Care, 157 S. Main Ave., West Scranton, Carl J. Savino, Jr., supervisor.<\/p>\n
Family and friends may pay their respects from 10:00am until the time of the service at the funeral home.<\/p>\n
Interment, Cathedral Cemetery.<\/p>\n
