Investigators found the 19-year-old victim lying in the road with severe injuries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment of potentially life-threatening injuries, Audelo said Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene and is cooperating in the investigation. At this time, there is no indication that impairment was a factor in the crash, Audelo said of the driver.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">A preliminary investigation includes evidence collected and witness statements. The investigation shows the pedestrian may have attempted to cross the roadway between vehicles immediately before the collision, Audelo said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The accident remains under investigation by Bethlehem Police Department\u2019s Major Accident Reconstruction Team.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Additional witnesses are being sought.
