BETHLEHEM \u2013 The Christmas Town America 250 Committee invites Bethlehem children to take part in a Bicycle Decorating Contest, sponsored by Parks & Recreation as part of the America 250 celebration on July 4th. The parade takes place at 3:00 p.m. and travels from Bethlehem Elementary School to The Green.<\/p>\n

Children are encouraged to showcase their creativity by jazzing up their bikes and riding in the parade alongside the Parks & Recreation Team. Entrants can participate in four categories of judging; Most Patriotic, Most Bethlehem, Most Creative, and Longest Caboose. Judging will occur in front of Memorial Hall after the parade. All participants will receive a bike safety kit, while the winners will be awarded a special prize.<\/p>\n

An entire day of family activities is planned for the Fourth of July, starting at noon with an Ecumenical Service at First Church. A Photo Show will be on display in Memorial Hall between 12 and 6 p.m. After the parade and ceremonies, a town picnic at Gallop Field begins at 4:30 p.m. The day culminates at 9:00 p.m. with a fabulous fireworks display viewed from Gallop Field.<\/p>\n

Nationwide, the America250 committee\u2019s mission is to celebrate and commemorate the anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, marking America\u2019s Semiquincentennial.
