(WJET\/WFXP)\u2013 The Erie man who pleaded guilty to making and possessing bath salts at a City of Erie home in 2025 is facing a new drug-related case just weeks before his sentencing.<\/p>\n
Millcreek police filed new criminal charges against 40-year-old Adam Hilyer on May 29, saying lab equipment suspected to be used to make more of the drug was found at a Wattburg area home and was turned over to them.<\/p>\n
\u00a0Erie drug raid ends with man charged for alleged production of bath salts\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n According to the criminal complaint, investigators were called out to the Wattsburg area home on May 29, where they were given a bag filled with broken lab equipment that still had residue to make bath salts on it and other ingredients.<\/p>\n A warrant was issued later that day and court documents show Hilyer was booked into the Erie County Prison on June 1 for felony possession with intent to manufacture or deliver and misdemeanor intentionally possessing a controlled substance without a prescription.<\/p>\n Assistant District Attorney Tayler Moses told us his bond was revoked during a hearing on June 3 before Judge John Mead.<\/p>\n Hilyer was arrested on March 10, 2025, following a search warrant at a City of Erie home on Grove Street, where police said they found a lab to make bath salts and large amounts of the drug in different stages of production, scales, packaging materials and three firearms, one of which was allegedly stolen.<\/p>\n
