No use in betting, games or single club\/league\/player publications.\"  \/>City claimed stories around Erling Haaland\u2019s future are \u201cuntrue\u201d (Martin Rickett\/PA)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHaaland has a release clause and wants to join Real Madrid,\u201d Riquelme said, as quoted by The Athletic.<\/p>\n<p>City issued a response to claims surrounding Haaland\u2019s future on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>A club spokesperson said: \u201cThe stories which have emerged from Spain regarding the future of Erling Haaland are untrue.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is no chance of this happening and there is no contractual clause to enable it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are considering legal action for the use of our player image in this context.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Haaland joined City in 2022 and signed a new nine-and-a-half-year contract at the club in January 2025, committing his future until the 2033-34 season.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/2.84330054.jpg\" alt=\"Erling Haaland scoring\" data-title=\"Manchester City v Arsenal \u2013 Premier League \u2013 Etihad Stadium\" data-copyright-holder=\"PA Wire\" data-copyright-notice=\"PA Wire\/PA Images\" data-credit=\"Martin Rickett\" data-usage-terms=\"EDITORIAL USE ONLY No use with unauthorised audio, video, data, fixture lists, club\/league logos or \u201clive\u201d services.
