A busy street in Sheboygan will be closed for an extended period of time.<\/p>\n

Sheboygan\u2019s Department of Public Works has announced that, beginning Monday (June 8th), Erie Avenue between North Taylor Drive and North 19th Street will be closed for construction.<\/p>\n

Work to be done will include storm sewer improvements, new crosswalks and pedestrian ramps, concrete panel replacements, and more.<\/p>\n

During the project, the intersection of Erie Avenue, North 25th Street, and Wilgus Road will be closed for complete reconstruction between July 6th and August 3rd.<\/p>\n

Residences within the construction area will have access while work is completed, but Erie Avenue will be closed to through traffic.<\/p>\n

At this time, work is tentatively scheduled to be finished sometime in October, but all work and related traffic impacts are weather-dependent and may be subject to change.<\/p>\n
