The new space will be fully operational by July.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Spot and Tango was founded in New York in 2018 and opened its Upper Macungie factory in October 2022.\u00a0The company makes fresh, all-natural pet food that&#8217;s sold direct to the consumer.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;ve learned so much about ourselves, the community, and what it means to build something,&#8221; CEO Russell Breuer said, during a ribbon cutting ceremony that was held for the facility in 2022. &#8220;The meals are personalized to your dog&#8217;s needs, to their dietary needs, and we offer it in a variety of formations.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He also said the company chose to set up shop in the Lehigh Valley following a search that included 54 prospective locations throughout the Northeast.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>According to Spot and Tango, the driver for the expansion is demand for UnKibble, which it calls one of the fastest-growing products in the direct-to-consumer pet food category.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"UPPER MACUNGIE TWP., Pa.- A pet food maker is growing its operations in Lehigh County.
