{"id":211136,"date":"2026-06-05T01:57:13","date_gmt":"2026-06-05T01:57:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/211136\/"},"modified":"2026-06-05T01:57:13","modified_gmt":"2026-06-05T01:57:13","slug":"newsmaker-melanie-ford-talks-penn-state-behrends-college-for-kids","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/211136\/","title":{"rendered":"Newsmaker: Melanie Ford talks Penn State Behrend\u2019s College for Kids"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">A local college campus is once again providing a way to keep kids engaged and learning over summer break.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Penn State Behrend\u2019s College for Kids program offers over 100 classes for kids aged 6 to 14.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Melanie Ford, director of youth education outreach at Penn State Behrend, explained how the program engages young learners in science, technology, art and much more.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cThey\u2019re all designed to engage your child in something, right.
