A major expansion for air travel in Erie is officially underway, as nonstop flights between Erie and Chicago’s O’Hare Airport begin service today.<\/p>\n
The new route means more flights and easier access to and from Erie, giving travelers greater connectivity to destinations across the country through one of the nation’s largest air travel hubs.<\/p>\n
Erie International Airport’s expansion of service to Chicago is expected to benefit both leisure and business travelers. A local family preparing to depart from Erie said the new connection to O’Hare will make it easier to stay connected with loved ones.<\/p>\n
Business traveler Dan Shell also welcomed the addition, saying the airport’s new route could save travelers a significant amount of time.<\/p>\n
With direct access to one of the nation’s busiest airports, airport leaders say the new service could have a lasting impact on the region’s economy and overall connectivity.<\/p>\n
The expansion is expected to provide more convenient travel options while strengthening Erie’s connections to cities across the United States through Chicago’s extensive network of flights.<\/p>\n
Martin says there are plans for additional flights to Chicago beginning on October 29.<\/p>\n
