Stitzel said.<\/p>\n<p>Emergency crews were dispatched Wednesday at 9:47 a.m. to the first block of Catherine Street after a 911 caller saw Giannotti, 47, injured on the ground from the two-story fall.<\/p>\n<p>Giannotti, who was a contractor, was rehabilitating an old factory building at 18 Catherine St., Stitzel said<\/p>\n<p>Giannotti was taken by ambulance to Reading Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:11 a.m. by a physician, Stitzel said.<\/p>\n<p>Stitzel said investigators determined Giannotti had been working from a ladder positioned against scaffolding. As Giannotti began to come down the ladder, the feet of the ladder slipped, causing him to fall, Stitzel said.
