{"id":212001,"date":"2026-06-05T23:17:09","date_gmt":"2026-06-05T23:17:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/212001\/"},"modified":"2026-06-05T23:17:09","modified_gmt":"2026-06-05T23:17:09","slug":"friday-kicks-off-big-weekend-of-festivities-concerts-in-pittsburgh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/212001\/","title":{"rendered":"Friday kicks off big weekend of festivities, concerts in Pittsburgh"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">PITTSBURGH \u2014 The Three Rivers Arts Festival, Pittsburgh Pride and Morgan Wallen concerts will create a packed weekend in the Steel City.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">On Friday, the Gateway Clipper was shuttling people to the North Shore for the Morgan Wallen concert at Acrisure Stadium.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">The Three Rivers Arts Festival is going on in Downtown. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Pittsburgh Pride is gearing up for its biggest weekend to date. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Pittsburgh Pride says they\u2019re ready for over 300,00 people and 300 vendors this weekend. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Channel 11 caught up with organizers as they set up at Allegheny Commons on the North Side. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">\u201cIt is an incredible festival that will help us recharge,\u201d one organizer said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">\u201cEveryone come out, be seen, be heard,\u201d another organizer said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Over in the Cultural District, the Three Rivers Arts Festival kicked off on Friday. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">This year, the new arts landing is a focal point. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust tells us the space has already been a success. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">\u201cWhat we\u2019ve been surprised to see is how much people are casually enjoying Arts Landing,\u201d Kendra Whitlock Ingram, president and CEO of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, said. \u201cWe have ways of tracking the number of visits a day, and we\u2019ve been so thrilled to see the number of people coming here, as many as 1,500 to 2,000 people,\u201d Kendra Whitlock Ingram, president and CEO of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Morgan Wallen fans got an early start to tonight\u2019s concert outside Acrisure Stadium. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">\u201cLots opened at 12:30. We left at 11.
