Pittsburgh Public Safety officials confirmed to Pittsburgh&#8217;s Action News 4 that at 3:20 p.m., Pittsburgh River Rescue responded to the area of the Birmingham bridge on the Monongahela River after high winds caused a barge to drift ashore.River rescue temporarily closed the river to boat traffic while a towboat repositioned the barge and returned it to its intended course. No damage or injuries were reported.
