Leaders from several local organizations \u2014 including Erie Arts and Culture, the Erie Downtown Partnership, the expERIEnce Children\u2019s Museum, and the Erie Downtown Development Corporation (EDDC) \u2014 gathered on the Perry Square stage to showcase a wide range of events planned for the coming weeks.<\/p>\n
The announcements highlighted a busy and diverse lineup designed to bring residents and visitors into the heart of downtown.<\/p>\n

Among the major events is an Independence 250 Party scheduled for Thursday, June 25, on State Street. The celebration will feature the unveiling of a large Erie-themed mural on the former Avalon Hotel, along with a live performance by country artist Lewis Brice.<\/p>\n
Every Wednesday morning from 6 a.m. until 7 a.m. Sunrise Yoga will take place at Dobbins Landing. This early morning event will continue until August 26.<\/p>\n
Organizers also pointed to other notable events on the calendar, including observances and celebrations for World Refugee Day, Juneteenth, and the Erie Pride Parade \u2014 each reflecting the city\u2019s growing emphasis on community, culture, and inclusion.<\/p>\n
Kicking things off is EMTA\u2019s 14th Fest, set for June 11 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on East 14th Street. The event will feature live music from bands Geek Army and Twisted Lid, along with activities aimed at drawing people downtown after work.<\/p>\n
World Refugee Day and Gallery Night will be held on June 26 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. in West Perry Square.<\/p>\n
From June 28 until July 1 the Making Waves on Main Street Conference will be held at the Bayfront Convention Center. This is Pennsylvania\u2019s premiere revitalization conference.<\/p>\n
The Pay-What-You-Can Farmers Market will take place every Friday from July 10 until October. The market will be held from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. in West Perry Square.<\/p>\n
On July 10 and September 4, the Flagship City District will have Boutique Nights from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.<\/p>\n
Cyclefest Downtown Slow Roll will take place on July 23 beginning at 6 p.m. in Perry Square.<\/p>\n
Organizers stated that the goal is not only to provide entertainment but also to support local businesses and strengthen Erie\u2019s sense of community.<\/p>\n
With a steady stream of festivals, performances, and cultural events on the horizon, downtown leaders hope the message is clear: there\u2019s plenty happening in Erie and something for everyone to enjoy.<\/p>\n
